My client wanted to create a homely hotel-style double guest bedroom from her spare room. Unusually, there were no initial ideas, colour brief or existing furniture to work with.
The room proportions were tricky, as the room was narrow and long. Whilst the dual aspect windows are a lovely feature, it added complexity to the spatial layout. Together we began finding bedroom images that appealed and used them for inspiration, building a style. A list of what guests would need from the room steered the functional furniture, before I could incorporate the decorative items to bring the room together.
