Lindzi Jazdowska
I 've had a keen interest in interiors and their design since I was a teenager.
In my early twenties, after my father allowed me to make some design decisions in his new home, I decided I wanted to be an interior designer. I enrolled in a Higher National Diploma course in Spatial Design. I had a natural flair and became passionate about the industry, But upon completion of my course, I was disheartened to discover how scarce design jobs were in the south west. Adding to my predicament, the UK was hit by the 2008 recession shortly after. By the time the job market became stable again, I had lost my confidence.

Fast forward to 2015, when my interior passion was reignited after purchasing our first home. I found so much joy in decorating and making our new house a home. I was often on a tight budget, but really wanted a high quality look, so I had to become creative. I began upcycling and making lightshades or footstools myself from scratch, inspired by Youtube or Pinterest ideas. My friends, family and the occasional stranger would compliment our home, my style or my unique decorating ideas.
Creating an Instagram home account boosted my confident further, as I realised my love of calming neutral interiors, inspired by nature was shared by others.
Having amazed myself and others with my ability to upcycle tired, second hand furniture into something characterful and beautiful. I'd found the ability to get a look of high end furniture at a much lower cost. This turned into another passion and I found myself upcycling furniture for clients since 2020.

My Style
My personal design style is influenced by a combination of farmhouse, country cottage, French country, and Scandinavian design. I love to incorporate rustic and time-worn pieces to create a sense of comfort and simplicity. My preference for calm and neutral colours sets the foundation for my design. Shades like soft beige, warm taupe, gentle gray, and muted earth tones dominate my colour palette. These hues create a calming atmosphere that promotes relaxation and balance.
My design choices are influenced by the beauty of the natural world. I like to incorporate elements such as reclaimed wood, stone and indoor plants to evoke a connection to nature. Texture also plays a crucial role in my design philosophy. I opt for materials with rich textures, like distressed wood and tactile fabrics such as linen, jute, and cotton. These textures contribute to a tactile experience that invites touch and exploration.
Distressing techniques are used strategically in my furniture offerings to introduce a sense of history and character into your decor. Furniture pieces and accents may display gently worn edges, faded finishes, and subtle patina.
As an interior designer, my aspiration is to create spaces that exude beautiful aesthetic character, while maintaining a sense of home, calm and comfort. A delicate balance that ensures these spaces are not only admired, but are also genuinely lived in and cherished for their cosy, inviting nature.
